A course for couples who feel stuck, misunderstood, or caught in cycles of frustration - and are ready for something different.
Two different brains. One relationship. Same struggle
Often, it’s not about being misaligned – it’s about misunderstanding.
In the therapy room, I see it often: couples who love each other deeply but feel stuck, exhausted, and unseen. One partner is often late-diagnosed ADHD. The other isn’t.
And they’re trying to build a life together without a shared emotional map.
ADHD & non-ADHD dynamics can be intense. Fast thoughts, emotional surges, forgotten plans. Over-functioning, resentment, shutdown, and disconnection.
It’s not about effort or love – it’s about nervous system mismatch, communication
breakdowns, and years of feeling misunderstood.
That’s why I’ve created a unique blend of psychoeducation, coaching, and Imago Relationship Therapy to support couples navigating this rocky terrain.
What I Offer:
This ADHD course supports couples navigating the ADHD & non-ADHD relationship
dynamics. Created by me, Vicky Ashraf, a BACP-accredited counsellor, Certified
Imago Relationship therapist, ADHD coach and fellow ADHDer.
When couples feel stuck, it’s often because they’re trying to connect using tools that
no longer work.
I blend psychoeducation, coaching, and Imago Relationship Therapy to help you
both reconnect with difference, clarity, empathy, and practical tools.
Together, we unpack what’s really going on beneath the surface, build emotional
safety, and explore ways of being together that honours both of your needs.
This isn’t about fixing each other. It’s about understanding each other and learning
how to reconnect, even when things feel hard.
What to expect:
• Initial individual session
A space to explore your experiences separately, clarify your needs, and reflect on
how ADHD shows up in your relationship, emotionally, practically, and relationally.
• One two-hour joint session
A deep dive into ADHD & non-ADHD dynamics.
We’ll explore emotional safety, communication styles, regulation strategies, and the invisible patterns that keep you stuck.
We’ll raise awareness of how the ADHD brain works, its pace, intensity, and sensitivity and how that impacts relational rhythms.
Together, we’ll begin to build a shared emotional map, one that honours both partners’ needs and creates a clearer, more connected vision for your future.
• Two follow-up joint sessions
These sessions help you integrate new tools, reflect on progress, and continue
building connection with therapeutic support. We’ll revisit what’s working, what’s shifting, and what needs gentle attention.
